Started my career in Oil and Gas managing a couple bases in and out of Iraq managing about 200 or so people, was there for about two years or so, ISIS invaded around the end of the two years. Post evacuating the staff. I decided I wanted to shift industries. — I ended up working in advertising for a bit — with different agencies — the first being MSLgroup ( Where I met our Marketing Advisor Naren ). Post this I had my first exposure to entrepreneurship. It was a startup similar to what Deliveroo is — provides the technology and riders, making deliveries for banks, supermarkets etc. Post this — I was hired as a consultant to help a website to help them figure out how to monetize. — That is where everything started

- Gather Network (Layer1) is the protocol layer, a hybrid proof of work and proof of stake blockchain, where stakeholders are incentivized to maintain transparency and security.

- Gather Cloud (Layer 2) provides affordable processing power to enterprises and developers.

Gather Enterprise: We provide reliable consultancy services and proprietary tooling for web developers, businesses and crypto networks.

Gather Cloud: We keep the cost of processing power economical for enterprises while providing developers the benefits of Proof Of Work grade security without the effort of sourcing miners.

Bà Tân | : Question4. Can you please tell us the current Gather Network road map ? How far has Gather Network been developed at this time ? and what will you realize in the future ?

Reggie — Gather Founder : So we started in 2018

Raised a small seed round, went and built the mvp and presented in rise Hong kong

Plan from there was to do an ico but the bear market hit so we self funded with life savings and built through the bear market. We also landed our first billion dollar client during this time

Then in 2020 October we were able to raise a million or so

Most recently we launched the main net — Mercury — the core product for publishers to use Gather

After this we have minerva as the next road map item

The specific features that use $GTH as a medium of exchange include:

1) Gas Fees and network interactions charges, settlement and processing power related charges for the Gather Cloud, and Settlement of Gather Online Rewards.

2) Providing a financial incentive to nodes to act honestly.

3) Entitling Staking holders with the right to participate in the governance and future of the Gather ecosystem

xquad : Ok, as Reggie mentioned slightly, the company had the seed round of $325k in 2018. This was used for development but it eventually ran out, and the bear market conditions hit. Then, the founders self-funded with life savings and kept building throughout the last 3 years. Eventually, in September 2020, Gather has raised $960,000 in a 25x oversubbed private sale round with the participation of leading venture capital firms Bitscale Capital, TRG Capital, Master Ventures, LD Capital and Rarestone Capital.

There is also an ongoing Series A round;

Gather is a revenue generating company as of now, and will generate even more revenue starting with Gather Cloud. Therefore, there is quite a bit of interest for the investors. The total raise is for 5 Million USD, investors both from the traditional and crypto landscape are interested. We are about to close this round.

This raise will mean a cloud company acquisition and having their clientele ready to generate more revenue with Gather Cloud, expanded technical and commercial teams, further high level listings and an even growing network for big publishers.

xquad : The revenue generation depends on a number of factors, such as total network load, number of sessions, session lengths, coin values, Gather Cloud revenues. The longer the session lengths are, the higher the revenue the publishers would generate (as opposed to the number of ads displayed), this is where Gather differentiates from the traditional digital advertising model. For a 30 minute session, the revenue can be as high as 20x compared to a single banner ad, keeping in mind advertising rates vary based on location/site/other factors.

- Marketing advisor Narendra Nag, has 20+ years of experience in Marketing & Communications, ex-director of Publicis

xquad : First of all, I’d like to say it is very encouraging to see that the cryptocurrencies help give back to the community.

UNICEF & SaveTheChildren have already used crypto and NFT donations as a part of their fundraising. Q1. Do the token holders have right to participate in the governance of the project? On what kind of decisions can they vote on about the project?

xquad : Yes, token owners can participate via what we call as e-governance: https://proposals.gather.network

- Community can suggest proposals — requires 50 USD worth of GTH sent to a burn address during submissions.

- All proposals that are submitted must be voted/accepted by Token Holders: 1 $GTH = 1 vote

- 51% approval is needed for the proposal to move to The Foundation. Minimum threshold for votes: 5% of total wallet count & 5% of $GTH circulating supply

- Foundation board members require 51% approval for the proposal to move forward.

Q2. Token burning is beneficial to any project because it can control the number of tokens in circulation and provide investors with greater incentives. Does your great project have a plan for token burning?

Q3. I care deeply about personal privacy, personal and organizational security, and the decentralization and sharing of power. What are your goals and motivations for taking on anonymity with transparency in general specifically as your project priority?

xquad : Gather does not hold users’ data and don’t track users. Gather only uses a very minimal part of their processing power based on their explicit consent. As a matter of fact, this is one of the main reasons why we are developing Gather; privacy is not respected in today’s digital advertising context. Websites have been adding more ads and selling your data. Ad-tracking is against consumers’ privacy rights. With Gather, we will provide a transparent and powerful alternate monetization method for online businesses while all respecting users data.

Q4. Many scam projects in the market. I would like to invest in your project but I habe doubt. Can you assure us that you are not like others and there is no chance of scam

xquad : Well, as mentioned earlier, Gather has been in the market through thick and thin since 2017.

The company only raised what’s needed to develop the product back then, and continued regardless of the market conditions, delivered an MVP, and after 3 years, the product is live, the team is there everyday to support, you can check the profiles and we have ongoing fundraisers with real investors as shared.
